From Vallø

Vallø or Valløy is a peninsula in Slagen, Tønsberg Municipality, Vestfold county. Around 1 km long and a half wide. By the Oslo fjord (Oslofjorden).

Tønsberg has 55 km of coastline and several places are perfect for biking on really great trails.

Fantastic trails

If you ever find yourself in the area – try this coastal path (kyststi);
Slagentangen > Essoskogen > Vallø.

Signposted as cycle route No. 1.

Essoskogen at Slagentangen has many wide an fantastic trails. A little rocky in some areas, especially close to the sea.

Follow the trail east along the fence to the Esso refinery and further in southeasterly direction through the forest until you reach the Oslo fjord. Continuing south to Kalsvikodden and Karlsvika. Then follow the roads on the shore through Skallevoldstranda and Ringshaugstranda until you reach Vallø.
