Descending Strynefjellet

A mountainous area on the border between Stryn municipaty in Sogn og Fjordane and Skjåk municipality in Oppland. Just north of Jostedalsbreen and west of Reinheimen.

This area is a paradise for both trail and road cycling.

Loen

From Loen. A village in Stryn Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county. Located in the inner part of the Nordfjord region, at the easternmost end of the Nordfjorden.

Some of the oldest farms in Norway

Did you know that Loen is the home to some of the oldest farms in Norway? And in 1905 and 1936 collapsed parts of Ramnefjell in Lovatnet southeast of Loen and created huge waves that killed a total of 135 people.
