Mosjømarka

A popular hiking and biking area east of Løten in Hedmark. The area stretches from agglomeration in the west to the municipal boundary with Elverum.

Rondane trail (Rondanestien) passes through Mosjømarka from Oset by Rokosjøen to Tobru. This is a marked trail established in 2003 by the Norwegian Trekking Association (Den Norske Turistforening), in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment (Miljøverndepartementet).

Around Mosjømarka with start and stop at Østvang school in Løten. Park here if you arrive by car. Follow the road eastwards and southwards past Mosjoen down on Rokosjøvegen. Follow this towards the east and turn left along Stålsetervegen. Follow past Stålsætertjærnet, Svarttjernet and up to a P-space. From here it is a marked path signposted «Svartskogkoia 1.2 Finstadgardshøgda» (ca. 600 m). Follow the same route back down on Rokosjøvegen. Follow this to the west, turn left and follow Tømnesvegen, Åsbygdvegen and Kjøstadvegen back to Løten. About 33 km.
