It never actually gets dark

North of the Arctic Circle the summer day lasts for weeks and months. From May to August, Northern Norway is bathed in light and it never actually gets dark.

The Midnight Sun is a natural phenomenon in which the sun is above the horizon at midnight. And the rest of the night. And all day long. At Nordkapp (North Cape) the sun stays shining in the sky for over 1,800 hours without setting.

Kåfjord

One is humble in suchlike surroundings

From Kåfjord. A municipality in Troms county. Borders in the north and east against Nordreisa, in south toward Storfjord and west against Lyngen. Kåfjord also has a border to Finland in the southeast. It´s this view we see here. The municipality belongs to the Nord-Troms region.

The most mountainous municipality in Troms

This is the most mountainous municipality in Troms. Over 75% of the municipality’s area is more than 600 meters above sea level.

Kåfjord has a wonderful and exuberant nature that should be experienced from the saddle.
