[/content_band]This view is one of the most spectacular to be found anywhere on the Lofoten Islands
This is from the mountain Ryten on an island called Moskenesøya in Flakstad municipality.
We are looking down on Kvalvika Beach and this view is one of the most spectacular to be found anywhere on the Lofoten Islands.
543 meters directly from the sea
Standing on the beach, Ryten appears as a massive cliff rising to a height of 543 meters directly from the sea. Flakstad is a municipality in Nordland county in Norway.
It is part of the traditional district of Lofoten.
Lofoten
Lofoten Islands comprises the island of Flakstadøya and the northern part of the island of Moskenesøya. Lofoten is known for a distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands.
Though lying within the Arctic Circle, it has one of the world’s largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude.
